The Salon featured groundbreaking authors whose debut works focus on the fractured self, the invisible self and the other self. 
Akwaeke Emezi, reading from debut novel FRESHWATER (Grove Atlantic/US, Feb. 2018);
- Sandra Allen, reading from first book A Kind of Mirraculas Paradise: A True Story about Schizophrenia (Scribner, Jan. 2018).
The regular reading and Q&A will be followed by a panel on self-representation and multiple realities, moderated by Vica Miller

A special evening featuring two award-winning writers - one hailing from Nigeria, another of Jewish/Palestinian descent - as they read from their highly acclaimed first novels, followed by a conversation on the burning issues of today.
