Laurie Silver
 
Laurie Silver is a native New Yorker and graduate of NYU Film School. A member of Vickie Abelson's Women Who Write and Seattle’s Field’s End, she has participated in numerous seminars and workshops, most recently Maureen Brady's Advanced Fiction Workshop at the JCC.  She published a short story, What Was Home, in the anthology Cut Loose, Rutgers University Press, 2006, and a number of articles in New York's Big Apple Parent's Newspaper.  Laurie just completed her first novel, Better People, about a sardonic young woman who unwittingly joins a cult.
