The author of the debut novel, I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You (Simon & Schuster, 6/2014), Courtney Maum graduated from Brown University with a degree in comparative literature and French translation. She then lived in France for five years where she worked as a party promoter for Corona Extra, which had everything to do with getting a visa and nothing to do with her degree. Today, Maum splits her time between Paris and the Massachusetts Berkshires where she works as a corporate namer and humor columnist, while co-writing films with her husband that have screened at such festivals as Cannes and Sundance. The book reviewer behind the satirical “Celebrity Book Review” column on Electric Literature, she’s also the author of the chapbook Notes from Mexico. She's very happy to be here.
